UNIVERSAL SKILLS
These are free skills, and do not need to be stated or listed when creating a character.
OVERNIGHT REST
All hit points and sanity points are returned after a night’s rest, unless you are told otherwise by a Ref.
SMALL WEAPON USE
You can use small weapons Between 7" and 18" in length, as per the weapon guidelines on the Combat page.
AMBIDEXTERITY
All characters have the ability to dual-wield Small Weapons if they so wish, though bear in mind that the One Second Rule still applies. Those with Way of the Blade are able to dual-wield either one One-Handed Weapon and one Small Weapon, two One-Handed Weapons or two Small Weapons.
STAUNCH WOUND
All characters have the ability to staunch a wound, by placing both of their hands over the bleeding out area on another character. At this point, the bleed count is paused so long as both hands remain on the area. A third person is needed if you wish to move someone who is being staunched.
IDENTIFYING BLEED OUT
All characters have the ability to tell if another person is mortally injured and bleeding out. You may call "Detect Bleed Out" to an unconscious character, and they must answer truthfully. You can do this up to three metres away from the target.
KILLING HUMANOIDS
Killing the infected takes it's toll, but many have learned to handle it. As such, players only lose 1SP per encounter after killing infected. This means you can, for example, kill ten infected but still only lose 1SP.
However, killing an Immune or Uninfected human comes takes a psychological toll and will cost you 1SP per kill, unless you have a skill that states otherwise.
ARMOUR USE
Anyone can wear Light or Heavy armour.
