In the world of We Are Legends, the world is a horrible, unpleasant place. The game will contain elements of tension and horror, and we wish to be up front about this content from the get-go so people can make an informed decision as to whether this is the game for them. We may not always have the opportunity to warn players when a difficult topic may be used in a particular encounter, and by attending you accept that you may encounter some of these topics and scenarios.

We will never create plot that includes any of the following elements:

  • Rape

  • Sexual Assault

  • Acts of cruelty towards minors

  • Acts of cruelty towards animals

  • Gore

  • Murder

  • Jump Scares

  • Psychological Fear

  • Torture (simulated)

  • The Dark

  • Suspense

  • Loud Noises (flashbangs, gunshots etc)

There may be scenarios that get planned which include other themes that may cause issues for some players. These scenarios will take place on optional linears, and OC warnings will be given beforehand so people can make a informed decision as to whether they wish to take part on such a linear.

Due to the nature of the game, we will include a safeword which can be used at any time. If you approach a ref or NPC with this safeword, they will remove you from the scenario. If you call it out to a member of the crew, they will cease interaction with you and you should find a ref or NPC as soon as possible.

Please note that this is NOT a character saving method. You will be removed from play until you are comfortable once more, but when you are reintroduced to the player party, your character will likely be injured or suffering some other ill effects. We will not kill characters for using the safeword, but we want to make it clear that it's not a "get out of jail free" card. If there is a chance your character would have taken damage had they stayed in play, then this will be reflected appropriately when we time your character back in, to ensure fairness between all players involved.

The safeword at all We Are Legends games is "Pterodactyl" (pronounced Tare-oh-dack-tul).

We understand that, when under stress or upset, some individuals can struggle with verbalisation, especially with uncommon or complicated words. As such, we also use a non-verbal SAFEWORD INDICATOR, where any attendee can hold their arms in a clear cross above their head (as per the illustration below) and receive the same treatment as if they've used the verbal safeword.
